The Sally Wilkey Foundation is hosting A 1920’s Inspired Evening of Gin & Jazz – an event specifically to help fund our up-coming, full-day, 8-week summer camp. In 2022, our first summer camp ran for 4 weeks in June, with an average of 20 kids/week. This summer, we will be to extending the camp to eight-weeks. A full-day camp is necessary as it allows parents/guardians to continue to work, look for work and/or continue to take care of other family members all the while knowing that their children are in a safe place with the SWF. We are grateful to Vero Beach Tennis and Fitness Club for hosting our programs. All of our programs are 100% free to our kids and their families. We are not solely about tennis; we are about the real-world difference our nonprofit makes as stated in our mission (outlining our goals and objectives) and our tagline - serving youth on and off the court. This summer our camp will run from June 5th - July 28th, Monday-Friday, 830am-4pm; and each day will include breakfast, lunch, snacks, tennis instruction, pool time and enrichment. All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to help offset our summer camp operating costs. We have already secured 10 staff members and several volunteers, all of whom are required to attend classes to be First Aid, Basic CPR and USTA Safe Play certified. The safety of our children is our top priority.
